Prof. Dr. Deniz Konya provides outpatient services at his private clinic and at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, while performing surgical procedures at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital. Born in Giresun in 1972, Dr. Konya graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine and completed his specialization training in Neurosurgery at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2002.
After completing his specialization training, Dr. Konya continued to work at the Department of Neurosurgery, Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2004-2005, he completed his clinical (Director: Prof. Dr. Peter McL. Black) and experimental studies as a fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University Faculty of Medicine, and at the Spinal Cord Injury and Stem Cell Center, VA West Roxbury Hospital (Director: Ass. Prof. Dr. Teng Yang).
Dr. Konya, who continued his academic career at the Department of Neurosurgery, Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, where he received his specialization training, has focused both his surgical practice and experimental studies on the field of Spine Surgery since 2007. His clinical and experimental studies on this subject have been published in highly prestigious journals and have received over 1900 scientific citations (H Index: 25).
